AsCon Expert Speak || Responding and Recovering from the Pandemic: Importance of Gender Equity || Ms. Nandita Baruah, Country Head, Asia Foundation. "Expert Speak" is a virtual platform under Asian Confluence Web Series Program to associate and engage with eminent experts for their insights on the COVID-19 world and beyond; on contentious issues like development funding, connectivity, trade, strategic and security cooperation with particular emphasis on the Bay of Bengal region with Northeast India at its epicenter. Speaker Profile: Nandita Baruah is the Asia Foundation’s country representative in India and formerly served as the deputy country representative in Nepal. She has over 25 years of professional experience working on gender, human rights, labor migration and human trafficking issues in South Asia and South East Asia. She has headed South Asia regional programs on gender based violence, human trafficking, migration and rural development.
