Venue: Dhaka, Bangladesh. (2017) The history of man is testimony that rivers are the cradle of civilization itself. Rivers do not follow political boundaries. Their health is a measure of how well we care for our environment. They connect geographies, peoples and enable trade and commerce. India, along with her immediate neighbor together comprise a geographically compact region in South Asia. Lying in the underbelly of the mighty Himalayas, a defining feature of the entire region is the many rivers that interlace the region. An elaborate network of rain and snow fed rivers drain the region and flow into the Bay of Bengal, making the region “naturally connected”. Celebrating this “natural connect”, NADI is a mega initiative of Asian Confluence to address various levels of water and river management.
