In his book, Monsoon, Robert D. Kaplan mentions the evolving nature of geopolitical maps, as opposed to the geographical maps of the region, which are fixed. This statement needs to be weighed in the present times, especially in the context of the clamour that has once again gained momentum concerning the Great Nicobar Project on the Andaman and Nicobar archipelago of India in the Eastern Indian Ocean.
