Malaysia’s Domestic Plan Could Drive its Role in Regional Transformation

When Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim tabled the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (RMK13) in Parliament on 31 July 2025, the announcement was framed as a domestic milestone - a blueprint for Malaysias development over the next five years. Even so, the Plan positions Malaysia in the evolving international geopolitics marked by major shifts in power politics, growing technological race, demographic changes, and climate challenges.
