Asian Confluence is organising the sixth edition of KIZUNA: India–Japan Intellectual Conclave in Shillong, India, from 26–27 February 2026. Kizuna, meaning “deep heart-to-heart communication,” is a flagship initiative focused on advancing India–Japan collaboration in North East India by highlighting achievements, identifying opportunities, and addressing shared challenges. Organised in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in India and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, the Conclave, launched in 2021, has successfully convened five editions with senior-level participation from both countries, including ministers, foreign secretaries, ambassadors, industry leaders, state governments, and regional partners. The sixth edition will bring together political leaders from North Eastern states of India and Japan, senior government officials, representatives of the Japanese Embassy as well as leading academics and business leaders.
