India-Vietnam Relations and the Uneven Geography of Act East

India-Vietnam relations are entering a phase where strategic convergence is moving faster than the geography once expected to anchor it. Defence cooperation has expanded steadily, trade ambitions are widening, and both countries increasingly frame each other through the language of the Indo-Pacific. This evolving relationship also raises a larger structural question within Act East itself.
