In this conversation with Executive Director, Asian Confluence, Amb. Bhatia shares his views on the regional collaborations needed for dealing with economic social and security issues in and after the covid 19 pandemic. He shared his views on the contours of the new normal emerging and its implications for India's Act East Policy and the development of the North Eastern states of India as well as regional cooperation with immediate neighbours.

Speaker Profile: Amb. Rajiv Bhatia is Distinguished Fellow, Gateway House, Member, Governing Council, Asian Confluence. As a career diplomat, he served India with distinction for over thirty-seven years. He was India’s Ambassador/High Commissioner in Kenya, Myanmar, Mexico and South Africa. Known for his intellectual inclinations, Amb. Bhatia enjoys writing and speaking on a wide range of foreign policy-related issues. Since his retirement from the Indian Foreign Service in 2009, he has published over 150 articles on international affairs in India’s national dailies, journals and periodicals.
