'Rare Art Festival of North East India',  a cultural program organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and North Eastern Council at the Asian Confluence center where various indigenous artists showcased their unique traditional musical instruments and dance forms.

The audience were mesmerized by the performances of Miss Rulhovinuo Rutsa from Nagaland and her demonstration of the Tati, E. Pyndapbor Khongjirem from Meghalaya with the Tangmuri, Delong Padung from Arunachal Pradesh with the Misum Miyang, Yoksha and Pumtung, Samprai Debbarma from Tripura with the Chompreng, K.C. Runremsangi from Mizoram with the Darkhuang, Sunil Meitei from Manipur with the Manipuri Pena and Prafulla Nath from Assam with the Xutuli.

A panel of experts working towards preserving and promoting the traditions and culture of the region sat down to express their opinions on "Folk music and Modern Days" which was followed by another musical performance.
