Asian Confluence, Shillong in collaboration with Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), organised a one-day seminar on ‘Quality Improvement in Higher Education’ as a step to find a necessary way to improve the quality of education in the state.
 
The Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan is the central government's contribution to further the promise held by the rich expanse of India's state universities.
 
The daylong brainstorming session highlighted the true essence of education and its role in developmental initiatives. Participants also made presentations as part of a group exercise. Prof. Marmar Mukhopadhyay, Director, Educational Technology and Management Academy, was the designated resource person for the event who delivered a technical session.
 
Earlier in the day, Shri, Rangksan Mawroh, Principal Consultant, RUSA gave the welcome note followed by an introductory note by Shri D. P. Wahlang, I.A.S, Principal Secretary & SPD RUSA Meghalaya. Shri B. B. Dutta was invited as the Chief Guest for the interactive discussion.
