The third edition of NADI, Asian Confluence River Conclave 2022 was organized by the Asian Confluence on 28-29 May at Guwahati, India, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India along with the Government of Assam and the North Eastern Council with the Asia Foundation as the associate partner. NADI was based on the theme “Natural Allies in Development and Interdependence” focusing on Northeast Indian region, the immediate neighbourhood of BIMSTEC nations and extending to the ASEAN region.

NADI 2022 offered a platform to further intensify people centric regional narrative of caring and sharing of shared riverine resources for sustainable development with emphasis on 5Cs: Connectivity, Culture, Commerce, Conservation, and Collaboration in the Ganga-Brahmaputra-Meghna basin. The conference underpinned the synergy towards the common vision of a vibrant Bay of Bengal Community and a prosperous Indo-Pacific. It also provided prominence to the emergence of the narrative around “shared waters” to promote a Bay of Bengal community through mechanisms such as BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) mechanism.
