India and Thailand share a thriving partnership, and India's North Eastern Region (NER) provides unique prospects for bilateral engagement in promoting educational collaborations, particularly in Human Resource Development and Youth Skill Development.

Human Resource Development in NER may grow with joint efforts from India and Thailand. Thailand's expertise in tourism, technology, and vocational training can be complemented by India's efforts to improve educational facilities and digital skill programs in the NER. Both nations can cultivate a workforce prepared to engage in the global economy by promoting collaborative projects in education, cross-border trade, and cultural exchanges. The relationship can also help to create institutional capacity, which is mutually beneficial.

Similarly, Youth Skill Development is essential to economic progress in NER, and India's effort for initiatives like "Skill India" can complement Thailand's successful tactics in industries such as tourism and agriculture. India's emphasis on entrepreneurship, particularly in fostering startups and MSMEs, is consistent with Thailand's practical approaches to agri-tech and sustainable development. Joint ventures in skill-building projects for youngsters can provide new job possibilities, strengthen local economies, and promote long-term economic resilience in the region.

Keeping these aspects in mind, Asian Confluence is hosting an exclusive networking interaction on India-Thailand Relations: Promoting Educational Collaborations with Northeastern States at Asian Confluence Center, Shillong, on 25^th September 2024. Present in this interaction, as the Guest of Honor, would be Her Excellency Miss Sasirit Tangulrat, Director General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Thailand.
