The Asian Confluence, in collaboration with US Consulate Kolkata organised the roundtable discussion on India’s North East Indian Region, the Bay of Bengal Region and the Emerging Indo-Pacific: Reflecting on the Connections. The roundtable was graced by the presence of Ms. Melinda Pavek, Consul General, US Consulate, Kolkata. The roundtable also garnered perspectives from experts in Meghalaya on connecting the dots that link the region with the larger Indo-Pacific. The roundtable discussed the common vision of India and USA and other nations for a prosperous, free and open Indo-Pacific, understanding the diversity and the common threads that bind the region. It also explored the role of connectivity (physical and psychological) via gateway states such as Meghalaya.
