Asian Confluence hosted His Holiness the Dalai Lama who was on a three day visit to Shillong. It was His Holiness’ first visit to Meghalaya and the entire city was very excited to welcome the Noble Peace Prize winner. During the visit, the director of Asian Confluence, Mr. Sabysachi Dutta, interacted with His Holiness and presented him with an old map which shows North East India as the epicentre of Asia. The Dalai Lama listened with intent as the Director went on to explain about the role and significance of the entire region in the context of South East Asia.
