The Asian Confluence and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF) are hosting a public seminar on Northeast India titled “Exploring the Potential of Northeast India: Harmonizing Cultural Diversity and Socioeconomic Development” on 24 October 2025 at the Sasakawa Peace Foundation Building (11F International Conference Hall), Tokyo.

The seminar will bring together distinguished experts from India and Japan, including Mr. Sabyasachi Dutta, Executive Director, Asian Confluence, to examine the untapped opportunities and challenges in India’s Northeast region. It will highlight the significance of socioeconomic development in the region and showcase its rich cultural and ethnic diversity. Discussions will explore how cultural diversity, inclusive development, and strategic collaboration can converge to unlock lasting socio-economic transformation in this strategically vital area.
