Asian Confluence Governing Council Meeting

Asian Confluence organized a meeting of its Governing Council on 3rd September, 2025 at the India International Centre, New Delhi. The meeting focussed on the journey of Asian Confluence so far while also  charting strategies to strengthen its role and expand its impact amidst tectonic shifts in the global geopolitical order. 

The meeting was also graced by Shri Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Former Minister of State for External Affairs of India, who apprised the Governing Council members of ongoing developments in the region and the way forward.

The Governing Council welcomed two new distinguished members: Lt. Gen. Himalay Singh  and Amb. Jaideep Mazumdar. Their expertise will further enrich the organisation's vision and direction. 

Lieutenant General Dr. Konsam Himalay Singh PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM is a former Lieutenant General of the Indian Army. He was also the Chairman of Manipur Public Service Commission and is currently a member of the Consultative Committee of Manipur Government on Naga Peace Talks and a visiting faculty member at the Manipur University.

Amb. Jaideep Mazumdar is a former Indian diplomat with over 35 years of experience. He was Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs and has handled key roles in the PMO, UN, and Indian missions in Beijing, Kathmandu, Austria, the Holy See, and Montenegro.
