Dr. Sunetra Ghatak is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy, O.P. Jindal Global University, India. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, where her doctoral research was supported by the Basic Scientific Research–UGC fellowship. She is also a Himalayan University Consortium Fellow at ICIMOD and a Visiting Fellow at Asian Confluence, where she actively engages in policy dialogues and global forums on trade, migration, and development. She has led and contributed to several international and national research projects funded by the World Bank, the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie), the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and various government agencies. A prolific scholar, Dr. Ghatak has published widely in SCOPUS-indexed journals, edited volumes, and policy reports. Her research interests include international trade, labour economics, migration, gender, and economic development, with a particular passion for exploring the intersections of migration, climate, gender, and trade.
