10 Years of Act East Policy: What Next?

 Asian Confluence, in collaboration with Royal Global University, hosted a Distinguished Lecture titled “10 Years of Act East Policy: What Next?” The session featured a keynote address by Ambassador Riva Ganguly Das, Former Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and a Member of the Governing Council, Asian Confluence. Mr. Sabyasachi Dutta, Executive Director of Asian Confluence, also delivered special remarks, setting the tone for an engaging event.

The lecture reflected on the achievements, challenges, and future trajectories of India’s Act East Policy as it completes a decade since its inception. Drawing from her rich diplomatic experience, Ambassador Das shared valuable insights into the policy’s regional and strategic significance, especially in the context of Northeast India’s role as a gateway to Southeast Asia.
