Mr. Rama Ramachandran is a passionate and committed library leader and fervent advocate of literacy, education and the literary arts. For nearly four decades, he has played a crucial role in the transformation and modernisation of the national library system. His career as a Library Officer began at the National Library, Singapore, in 1969. Mr. Rama served in senior roles in most key Divisions, including Deputy Director of Reference and Support Services, Director of the National Library and concurrently Deputy Chief Executive of the National Library Board.

Phrang Roy is an internationally renowned expert on rural development, gender and indigenous people. He was the Assistant President of IFAD (The International Fund for Agricultural Development), headquartered in Rome, Italy, until his retirement in the year 2007. Mr Roy, a Maharashtra cadre IAS officer of the 1970 batch, was voted the best Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad for the Kharif campaign of 1975.
