Bamboo Grove

The Bamboo is common to the whole of South and East Asia as an important symbol of resilience, strength with lightness and finesse. It is said that the Buddha held his first sermon under a Bamboo Grove. Drawing inspiration from the metaphorical significance of the Bamboo, the Asian Confluence organises events aimed at nurturing the youth of the Northeast- encouraging their innovative ideas, their raw skills and their original thoughts. The greater goal is to together create powerful synergies. In the ‘Bamboo Grove’, the talent of Northeast finds a platform to showcase fine and performing art skills. Competitions are held from time to time to hone the local talent. Alternative programmes on Wellness are held to provide a much needed balance to our much stressed out daily lives. Thus common threads of culture are identified through these events held at the grove, leading to both a holistic understanding and development of the youth of the region.
